Murphy
The family of the late Mary Murphy of Ballyteague, wish to sincerely thank all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad loss. To all those who telephoned, visited the house, sent letters, Mass cards, sympathy cards, brought bread, sandwiches, and flowers, your thoughts and actions were very much appreciated. We wish to thank Pat Ivers for leading the Rosary and all those who joined us. The Reception into Allen Church by Fr Brian Kavanagh and the Funeral Mass led by Fr Moore PP was attended by many family and friends, some travelling from Cork, Donegal, Kerry, West Meath, and England to be with us on the day. It was a service remembering Mary and many aspects of her life was celebrated, with particular reference to her lifetime spent Lock-Keeping on the Grand Canal in Ballyteague. We also wish to express our gratitude to the singer, Alan Brerton, and to the whistle-player, Ray Cox, who played a haunting and truly wonderful rendition of The Lonesome Boatman during the funeral mass and sang Noreen Bawn at the committal. Thanks also go to those who participated during the service. Our special thanks go to all the staff at Naas Hospital and Beech Park Nursing Home for their excellent care and attention. Also to all the relatives, neighbours, family and friends who regularly visited our Mother after she had left the family home. We also wish to take this opportunity to thank Ballyteague GAA Club for their kind respect. Thanks also to Oliver Reilly, Undertakers, for the helpful and efficient service they provided and to Glennon's for providing refreshments at the reception. Our thanks also go to Canon Bennie Noonan (Bedfordshire, England) for his continuing support and prayers.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions as a sign of our gratitude to you all.
