(nee Mc Neely) Mary Clar, Donegal Town
28th July 2010

Joseph, Gerard, Deirdre, Paul and the extended family wish to acknowledge with true appreciation, the wonderful kindness and support shown to them by so many people on the death of Mary. Our thanks to all who called to our home , removal and attended the funeral mass and burial, especially those who travelled long distances. A special thanks to all the kind neighbours, friends and relatives who helped so much in preparing for the wake; those who brought and prepared food and looked after everyone. Our thanks to those who sent Mass cards, letters and cards of sympathy, enrolment certificates, telephoned and made donations to Donegal Cancer Support in her honour. A very warm thank you to Fr. Danny Mc Brearty and Fr. Willie Peoples for their attention to Mary in her sickness and officiating at her removal, wake and funeral along with so many other clerical friends who concelebrated the funeral mass. It was much appreciated. Thanks to all who participated in the funeral liturgy and most especially to her wonderful friends in St. Agatha's Church Choir and those who joined for the occasion, who sang like a choir of angels and made her mass such a beautiful and moving tribute to her memory. A special thanks to Karen Mc Cruddden the organist and the other musicians and soloists. A word of gratitude to the sacristan and to the women who arranged the beautiful santuary flowers and those who did usher on the day. Our thanks to the undertaker Jackie Carron, for his professional and dignified handling of the funeral arrangements. Also our appreciation to the Garda Siochana for the help with traffic management. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses who cared for Mary over her long illness in the oncology ward in Sligo General Hospital and at local level. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Austin O Kennedy, Dr. Donal Martin (Letterkenny hospice), Bridie Mullen, Patricia Botle and all the staff in Donegal Community Hospital for their excellent care of Mary, especially in her final weeks. A special thank you to Sr. Magdalene and Donegal Cancer Support group who along with her many friends and relatives supported her over the years. As it would not be possible to thank each one individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep gratitude and appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offeres for your intentions.

Mary's months mind mass will be offered on St. Agatha's Church, Clar on Friday, the 3rd of September at 7pm.
