Carmel O'Callaghan (nee Wright) Ballinard, Herbertstown, Co. Limerick
1st June 2010
Carmel's devoted family, partner Joey, sons Joe and Gerry, father Joseph, brothers Gerard and Noel, sisters Patricia, Helen, Breda and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported us during Carmel's illness and sad passing. We extend sincere thanks to all the medical staff who helped Carmel throughout her illness, especially the Milford Hospice home care team who attended her in the days leading up to and during her death. Words cannot express our thanks and appreciation for the help and support we received from our neighbour Kitty Higgins during those weeks. We thank our local priests Fr. Danny O'Gorman and Canon Ryan, Fr. Eddie Cleary who came from Tipperary and our cousin Fr. Mark Floody who travelled from England to celebrate the funeral Mass and made it so personal and special. Also to Cross's Funeral directors and their team for their professionalism in helping to ease us through the arrangements. We would also like to thank the staff of the RCCN in Hospital for all their help and kindness and the lovely guard of honour on the day. Thanks to all who attended Carmel's funeral, those who travelled long distances, who sent flowers and Mass cards and those who kept Carmel in their prayers. We were overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us by the extended family, friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways before, during and after the funeral service, especially Mary and Mike Durcan, Eileen Baggott and all our cousins. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, we hope and trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by you all as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. Mass will be offered for all your intentions. We cannot express how broken-hearted we are having lost you, our beautiful Carmel. The world as we know it will be a very different place without you in it. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Carmel's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, Herbertstown on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 5.00pm.
