FRIEL JONATHAN 1st Anniversary
In loving memory of a dear and devoted husband and daddy who died on 26th December, 2008

Months have passed day by day, it's now a year since you were called away.
Others were taken, yes I know, but you were mine, I loved you so.
A prayer, a tear, till the end of time, for a loving husband I was proud to call mine.

Daddy, your needs in life were simple, your love for your family true,
As long as we were happy, you were happy too.
You laughed with us in good times, you cried with us in sad times,
You never left us wanting Daddy, you gave us all you had.
Our hearts they ache with sadness, our secret tears still flow,
For what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.
If memories bring us closer, we are never far apart,
God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts.

Will those who think of Jonathan today, a little prayer to Jesus say.

Sadly missed by your wife Shauna and sons, Orrie and Bobby.

In tears I saw you sinking, I watched you fade away,
You suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage, your spirit did not bend,
And still you kept on fighting until the very end.
God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you and whispered, Come to me.
So when I saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain,
I could not wish you back to suffer that again.

In loving memory of my brother Jonathan, 1st Anniversary, 26th December, 2009

We sat beside your bedside, our hearts were crushed and sore,
We did our duty until the end, til we could do no more.
If love and prayers could have saved you, you'd be here, that's for sure,
But God had made His mind up, what you suffered had no cure.
They say that time's a healer, well I hope that part is true,
Because it's hard to find a day or night without a thought of you.

Always remembered, Damien, Pamela and family.

Uncle, They say that I'm too little to know what death's about,
But I know something's missing when I go to Jonathan's house.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.

We lived in hope, we prayed in vain, that God would make you well again,
But God decided we must part, we watched you die with a broken heart.
They say time heals many things, but not the sadness Christmas brings,
The pain in our hearts will always remain, until the day we meet again.

We speak your name with love and pride, smile through tears we try to hide,
You left a place no one can fill, we love and miss you and always will.
