1st anniversary away from home occured on the 28th November, also remembering his birthday on the 12th December.

I think of you in silence,
I talk about you too,
I have some lovely memories,
But I wish I still had you,
God saw you getting weary,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you,

With tearful eyes we watch you,
And saw you pass away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay,

It was a sudden parting,
Too bitter to forget,

To think you could not say goodbye,

The blow was hard the shock severe,
To part with one we loved so dear,

What Joseph suffered we all knew,
He did not deserve what he went through,
Tired and weary he made no fuss,
