Aghadark,
Ballinamore
Co Leitrim
(Died 20th December 2008)
Josie, Maureen, Kathy and Brian wish to thank most sincerely, all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.
Words cannot express how grateful we are to our wonderful neighbours, friends and family. Your support, generosity and kindness we will never forget we would have not got through those days without your help and who are still helping, it is impossible to mention you individually.
Thank you to the Ambulance Crew particularly Pauric Quinn, the Doctors & Nurses of Sligo General Hospital who was so good to us on his brief stay there.
Thank you to Fr. Duffy and Fr. Heery for their comforting words at the Removal & Funeral mass. To our friend Fr. Pat McCaffrey who co-celebrated the mass.
To Marion and Gerda Burns for their inspirational singing. Also, to Barney's niece
Ann Marie who sang and played so beautifully.
Thank you to Barney's Granddaughter Claire and Son-in-law Pat for their lovely readings and his nieces and nephews who also read at mass. A special thanks to Ruari Sullivan for his reading we know that was a very hard thing for him to do.
Thank you to Joey, Cyril and Sean for the caring and dignified manner in which the Funeral arrangements were carried out.
To the coffin bearers and his great friends who had the sad duty of digging his grave. He would have been so proud and wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Thank you to everyone who brought food to the house, to those who travelled, who went to the hospital, who called to the house, who attended the removal and funeral. To those who sent beautiful wreaths, mass and sympathy cards, letters, phone calls and texts of support.
We, will sadly miss Barney as will his Sister Rosaleen in Omagh,
Agnes in San Francisco, his brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
Sons-in-law Kevin & Pat, his Granddaughters Siobhan, Fiona & Claire and his extended family.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Report this message By Kathy Smith on 22nd Feb 2009Grandad,
Goodbye my friend.
I shall see you again
In heaven where the stars stay.
I will be there one day.
The world isn't the same,
Since the day the angels came.
You maybe on a star,
But I love you wherever you are.
My stays with you are long past.
They're right. Fun never lasts.
We worked hard in the garden and workshop.
Side-by-side, we never stopped.
I never played with a girly toy.
I was with you, a tomboy.
You changed who I am today,
A debt I can ever repay.
Know that in my heart you're alive
Until the day, in heaven, I arrive.
You're in the hearts of all you touch.
We still love you very much.Love,
Fiona
