Standing in the doorway, the way it used to be.
We watched you take your final breath,
And mumbled our goodbyes.
Our hearts were full of grief, as we stood and watched you die.
So helpless in our sadness then, that we were blind to see,
That God had called you home to him,
And finally set you free.
Your needs in life were simple,
Your love for us was true.
As long as we were happy,
You were happy too.
You gave us all you had to give,
Gifts both big and small.
But most of all you gave us love,
The greatest gift of all. Loved and remembered by her seven sons, daughters in law and grandchildren.
